Staff Awards

Mission Statement
To promote the accomplishments of fellow staff members in a safe and supportive environment.

General Information

Annually, we host a light breakfast in honor of THCAS staff members and the hard work they engage in on a day-to-day basis, as well as presenting two awards: THCAS Senior Staff Excellence Award and THCAS Junior Staff Excellence Award.  Additionally, the awardee(s) of the William M. Downs Staff Professional Development Grant for college staff members who seek skill enhancement and overall career development by attending a select training, workshop or conference.

We hope you will consider nominating an administrative or technical staff member who exhibits excellence in carrying out his or her duties.

Award Descriptions

The THCAS Senior Staff Excellence Award and the THCAS Junior Staff Excellence Award are based on similar criteria, however, the Senior Staff Excellence Award is presented to someone with at least five years combined experience. The William M. Downs Staff Professional Development Grant will be awarded based on a self-nomination process, but there are specific qualifications.

Faculty or staff can nominate any SHRA staff member for the THCAS Senior Staff Excellence Award or the THCAS Junior Staff Excellence Award.
