Executive Committee: Mission Statement

The Executive Committee will serve the THCAS Staff Council by endorsing and adhering to the mission statement of the Staff Council.

The Executive Committee will hold and attend all Staff Council meetings, provide direction for the Staff Council Subcommittees and members, annually evaluate, revise and maintain as needed, the Staff Council’s goals and assist in the overall development of a healthy staff community

The THCAS Staff Council Executive Committee will be the liaison between the THCAS Staff Council, which represents all THCAS staff members, and the Dean of Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences (hereafter known as ‘Administration’). This will include communicating issues, concerns and any valuable information between administration and staff.

THCAS Staff Council Committee Members

Memberships and Bylaws Subcommittee: Mission Statement

To draft and publish clear guidelines for the effective organization of the Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences Staff Council and to grow and maintain the membership of the Council to be inclusive of all staff personnel within Harriot College.

Mentoring Subcommittee: Mission Statement

To create educational tools for all staff members of the Thomas Harriot College of Arts and Sciences including training sessions, networking opportunities, and overall support.

Planning Subcommittee: Mission Statement

To promote the accomplishments of fellow staff members in a safe and supportive environment.

Our committee hosts events every semester to encourage participation in the THCAS Staff Council, to serve as a networking opportunity for staff members, and to recognize individual achievement.
