Harriot College Graduate Curriculum Committee

Charge of the Committee

The charge of the Harriot College Graduate Curriculum Committee is to review and act on proposals for new courses, new degree programs, and certificates. The committee also acts on course revisions, and revisions to established graduate degree programs and certificates within Harriot College.

Committee Membership

The committee membership includes one faculty member from the Humanities, two faculty from the Social Sciences, and two faculty from the Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

Members of the committee are graduate faculty and are nominated by their department chair. Members serve on the committee for two consecutive years, and each department is represented on the committee every 5 years.

Meeting Times & Dates

The Harriot College Graduate Curriculum Committee will meet once a month, on or prior to the University Graduate Curriculum Committee meeting (GCC). During the spring semester, the college committee may choose to add supplemental meetings to ensure that proposals are included in the next graduate catalog.

Important Dates:
GCC deadline for Level II and Level III Items:
Submission: December 15, 2025
Approval: February 18, 2026

GCC deadline for Level I Items:
Submission: January 26, 2026
Approval: April 1, 2026
