Charge of the Committee

The charge of the Harriot College Undergraduate Curriculum Committee is to review and act on proposals for new courses, new degree programs, certificates, and minors. The committee also acts on course revisions, and revisions to established undergraduate degree programs, certificates, and minors within Harriot College.

Committee Membership

The committee membership includes one faculty member from the Humanities, two faculty from the Social Sciences, and two faculty from the Natural Sciences and Mathematics.

Members of the committee are nominated by their department chair. Members serve on the committee for two consecutive years, and each department is represented on the committee every 4-7 years.

Meeting Times & Dates

The Harriot College Undergraduate Curriculum Committee meets once a month, at least two weeks prior to the University Undergraduate Curriculum Committee meeting (UCC). During the spring semester, the college committee may choose to add supplemental meetings to ensure that proposals are routed to the UCC in time to be included in the next undergraduate catalog.

Important Dates:
UCC deadline for Level II and Level III Items:
Submission: December 15, 2025
Approval: February 26, 2026

UCC deadline for Level I Items:
Submission: January 26, 2026
Approval: April 1, 2026
