STATISTICS
Name: Yasmine Habal
Major: Neuroscience and Hispanic Studies
Classification/Year: Junior
FAVORITES
Favorite hobbies: Research, gym, hiking, reading on a cloudy day in the mountains with a cup of tea, and traveling.
Favorite class or teacher: “My favorite class was Neuropsychology with Dr. Everhart.”
What you enjoy most about your major: “I love neuroscience, not only because it covers psychology, but it also covers the chemical and biological reasonings for why we are the way we are. There is so much about the brain, that the more you learn, the more you kind of sit back in a reflective state and really think about how amazing that this one mass inside your skull controls every single thought and function. That so many different factors contribute to your current behavior and personality is absolutely wild. I also enjoy Hispanic studies, as the major covers the linguistics and history, alongside learning to speak Spanish and learning how to use it in both professional and casual settings.”
What you enjoy most about serving on the IMPACT Team: “My favorite part about IMPACT is that I am able to speak to students about what I love about my majors, as well as offer guidance to help them find their passion.”
